How do Electronic media work?

Jul 10, 2011

Electronic media is also divided into two segments. In which the reporters also called input editors and the news desk known as the output editors work in sync. Teams to handle various duties are assigned for eg. Assignment team constituting an Asst. producer, Associate senior producer etc to send reporters to the incident site and return the footage to the output team. Another such team is a Research team which works on the background of the news and prepares matter accordingly. Then the Desk works in again with the help of two departments. There is the News desk which includes a “copy desk” which plays an important part of writing the news into the TV format and packages them, it also constitutes a back up desk and hold the job of “run down” which is the on Air availability of a news and its order of appearance. On the other hand the “programming team” that is the second department prepares special programs and packages them.
