Green vegetables are available all over the world and we all are habituated of consuming it but are you aware of the benefits of green vegetables, the various nutritious value components carried by them.  Even some of them are potential of curing diseases too.

Green vegetables which we all consume should be fresh stored and stale vegetables lose its nutritional values. So beware, that it may happen that despite of consuming green vegetables you may lack essential minerals and vitamins. Fresh green vegetables are actually small packets enriched with calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E, and K, and they help in strengthening the blood and respiratory components, as they provide essential factors which are required for proper functioning of their individual units. They also provide a variety of phytonutrients including beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which protect our cells from damage and our eyes from age-related problems, among many other effects. Dark green leaves even contain small amounts of Omega-3 fats.

Be adventurous and one may look for green vegetables and branch out beyond bright and dark green lettuce, mustard greens, broccoli, Chinese cabbage are just a few of the options.
