Rising Sea Level: A consequence of global warming

Jul 25, 2011

As we all know, the most recent problem faced by the world, the global warming, had threatened the world. And foremost, the dire consequences of this problem can be seen as a form of rising sea level. Global warming is slowly increasing the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere and oceans and causing the ice at the poles to melt which increases the sea level. The global warming is being caused by the various green house gases present in the atmosphere. This is the major result of the problem but the other problems associated with the rise in the sea level are that the coastal cities will be flooded and the usual pattern of the rainfall and temperature will change. This in turn will adversely affect the agricultural performance and natural eco- systems. This will slowly show its effect on the living flora and fauna, which will be a very problematic situation.

To avoid the problems of tomorrow, we all should look forward, what all steps we can take from our side today, to make a beautiful tomorrow.
